Each year, the Friendship Volunteer Center refers more than 2,500 volunteers to more than 100 not-for-profit organizations in Lee County providing the equivalent of $4+ million in services. In turn, they contribute directly to the lives of many more people, making our community a stronger community.
The Friendship Volunteer Center is a gateway to many volunteer opportunities with:
- human services agencies

- educational settings

- arts organizations
|
- faith-based groups

- disaster relief efforts
|
We will provide communities, businesses, government entities, education, nonprofits, faith-based organizations and individuals with the tools they need to recruit, retain and manage volunteers.
In addition, the Friendship Volunteer Center will:
- Work with employee volunteer programs to encourage volunteering outside of the work environment during office hours

- Promote personal and family rewards
|
- Encourage the private sector to initiate meaningful community outreach

- Engage citizens in community service
|
|
| Individuals and groups of various ages contribute a significant number of hours to volunteer time, often worked around job and family responsibilities, helping them to keep in touch with the needs of the community. |
