There are many ways Planned Giving can allow you to give needed funds to Senior Friendship Centers, at very little expense to you or your estate. Consider the following gifts that can be given during or after your lifetime:

Bequests

The first way to protect precious belongings and resources is to prepare a will. Bequests passed on to the Foundation through a last will and testament will reduce loss to taxes or the possibility of being misdirected. Be sure to consult with a professional before making any charitable gift.

Life Insurance

Your check will help improve the quality of life and health for older adults for generations to come.

Life Insurance policy assignments can designate the Foundation as owner and/or beneficiary. Receive an immediate charitable deduction and deduct all future premiums allowing you to leverage a substantial gift at a relatively small cost.

Charitable Remainder Trust

Charitable Remainder Trust allows for the distribution of a specified income, at least annually, to one or more beneficiaries for life or for a specific term of years. Boost your rate of return, receive fixed income, and minimize capital gains tax.

Charitable Gift Annuity

Charitable Gift Annuity provides a lump sum to the beneficiary, usually linked to an appreciating property, with an agreed percentage returning to the provider.

Donate Gifts In Kind

Individuals and businesses can donate product, supplies or other needed materials necessary in the ongoing operation of Senior Friendship Centers. The Office of Corporate & Foundation Development is always seeking donations of food for events, printing for special projects, and other corporate support.

Donate Gift of Time

Because of the donated precious time of the 1400+ volunteers, Senior Friendship Centers is able to offer healthcare, home delivered meals, extended learning classes, exercise programs, caregiver support, music, healing friendship and so much more. Corporate Matching Gifts

As part of the philanthropic strategy for any organization, corporate matching gifts are a great way to encourage a giving plan among employees or members of a civic or service group.

Memorial or Tribute gifts

Honor a loved one with a very special memorial or tribute gift to Senior Friendship Centers. Naming opportunities still exist for substantial gifts. Cards of acknowledgement will be mailed upon request to the honoree or to their family.

Tangible Personal Property

Artwork, furniture, clothing, jewelry, and automobiles can be given, with varying tax consequences depending upon the type of property and whether the Senior Friendship Centers actually uses the donated property in pursuing its mission.

Gifts of appreciated real estate can be ideal gifts, and can be made in several different ways to maximize the tax benefits to you, and maximize the value of the gift to Senior Friendship Centers.
