Help us Build
When you step into The Friendship Center in Sarasota or the Kathleen K. Catlin Friendship Center in Venice, You know you have arrived at a very special place.

What you may not know is that these beautiful buildings were built with the contributions of people like yourself...People who understand the value of helping others. They are part of a legacy of hope and respect for the elder generations.

As a private, nonprofit organization, Senior Friendship Centers are built and made possible with the support of individual gifts and donations. While we receive some governmental funding, we simply would not be able to do what we do without private support.

We need your help. There are many ways of giving, that can provide tax benefits to you, and your estate, while helping older adults.

The Senior Friendship Centers Foundation was created as an endowment to ensure long-term support for the organization. Last year, for example, $59,600 was given to support home delivered meals, senior transportation, health care and adult day services.

Gifts to Senior Friendship Centers Foundation through contributions, memorials, and bequests offer an opportunity to support the good work of Senior Friendship Centers in perpetuity and memorialize your values.

You can specify areas of interest to support such as Senior Centers, Health Services, Senior Transportation, Home Delivered Meals, Adult Day Care and Frail Elder Services. A gift to the Foundation will ensure that “People Helping People” will continue long into the future.

The Center for Healthy Aging offers a very visible way to express your values to the rest of the community. There are still naming opportunities for this exciting facility, enabling donors to create an enduring legacy which publicly expresses their support for healthy aging, medical, dental and education programs. .

There are still naming opportunities for the new Center for Healthy Aging, offering an exciting and very visible way to express support for Senior Friendship Centers' nationally recognized healthy aging programs.

People Helping People in Action
Senior Friendship Centers Health Service works closely with the County Public Health Department and local hospitals to meet the needs of medically needy and uninsured individuals 55 and older, including assistance with obtaining medications. The need has grown dramatically since the founding of SFC’s Health Service in 1978.

The new Center for Healthy Aging continues Senior Friendship Centers pioneering efforts as a national model for the delivery of care to older adults in need. Staffed by retired volunteer physicians, dentists, nurses and related medical personnel, it emphasizes the role of education and preventive care in addressing the challenges of aging in the 21st century.

Working Together for a Healthier Tomorrow
The Center for Healthy Aging also expands SFC’s capability as a training ground for future doctors, nurses, medical and physician assistants, dental assistants and others seeking gerontological experience.
