Direct Program Support

For years these are the people who cared for us. They fought to defend our freedom. They paved the way to make a better life for us. Now, you can make their life a little better by giving to an organization dedicated to caring for the elderly - especially those in need.

Through the use of volunteers and coordination of local resources we address the multiple needs of our elders to avoid their premature institutionalization. Costs associated with this program are varied and many – things like groceries, simple home safety repairs, paying an electric bill, medical equipment, even pet food – are just the things needed to pull the elder from the edge of crisis.

Every Gift Helps

A donation in direct support of a program can be made. Your gift of...

"People Helping People" has been the heart of Senior Friendship Centers from its inception. Here, Brother Geenen and a volunteer pitch in to paint the first Friendship Center.

$50 will help support the Information & Assistance line for one day
$100 will pay for 20 meals for homebound seniors and their pets
$250 will provide 100 meals in the Friendship Café
$500 will underwrite one Adult day Service client for two weeks
$1,000 will sponsor a diabetes awareness class for eight weeks
$4,000 will underwrite bus transportation for one month

And, programs like Friendship at Home need ongoing financial support, too. This proactive crisis intervention program reaches into the community to help homebound older adults live with dignity and remain in their own homes.
