Senior Friendship Centers, Inc., established in 1973, is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping older adults live with dignity and independence in Sarasota, Desoto, Charlotte, Lee and Collier counties. Funded in part by State and Federal agencies, and support from private foundations and individuals, Senior Friendship Centers serves more than 10,000 older adults annually.

Realizing that in helping others we help ourselves, Senior Friendship Centers' staff, volunteers, and participants form a family of "People Helping People." As a non-profit charitable organization, we dedicate ourselves to helping older adults live with dignity and respect by providing services that address their needs, including:

Br.Geenen Awarded the President's Call to Service
Brother Geenen was presented the Presidents Call to Service Award on April 30, from Volunteer Florida CEO, Wendy Spencer. In order to qualify for this prestigious award, volunteers must have logged a minimum of 4,000 hours over the course of their lifetimes.
